National Food Bank Day is the first Friday in September and was dedicated to encouraging residents to commit to contributing to the cause that believes no one should go to bed hungry. Did you know we have five blessing boxes in Columbus, Kansas? They are placed at the following locations:
Columbus Public Library
1st Christian Church
Apple Glen Apartments
Highland Elementary
Central School
These boxes were installed to help provide the basic items and nonperishable foods for families who are experiencing financial and stressful times. If you have the opportunity this weekend, please consider dropping off some toiletries or nonperishable food in one of the boxes!
