4 States Live – Crawford County Sheriff – Children’s Clothing Drive – Badges and Burgers

Crawford County Sheriff Danny Smith offers tips to avoid becoming a victim of theft – and not just during the holiday season.

Pittsburg State Student Peyton Thomas is collecting clothing for school-age children to be distributed through Communities in Schools in Southeast Kansas. Donation boxes are located inside Jolly Fox Brewery in Pittsburg. You can also make monetary donations through Cash App: $pthomas98 or Venmo: peytonthomas98.

Badges and Burgers will take place November 19 at Fire Station 1 in Pittsburg. $5 will get you a hamburger or cheeseburger, chips, cookie and water. To preorder November 16-18, call 620-235-0400. Money raised will benefit Children’s Advocacy Center, which provides services to victims of sexual abuse in Cherokee and Crawford counties. To learn more or to donate, visit their website.
